Ila Ravichandran

I am an assistant professor of legal studies at the University of Washington, Tacoma. I co-authored “Imperial Policing: Weaponized Data in Carceral Chicago” (2024). I research, write, teach and speak about the relationship between law and science, race and surveillance, interpersonal and state violence, imperial forms of policing and global abolition. I continue to work towards and engage with liberatory projects that creatively imagine pathways to emancipated futures.
